Dubai CSD provides the Securities Transfers Services as per the classification below:
- Transfer from a Company to a Board Member
- Transfer between a Company’s Board Members
- Transfer of securities from a listed company’s account to employees
- Transferring the shares of a certain company as per their instructions
Fees
AED 0.004 of the shares market value, minimum AED 50 (per transaction)
Procedures
- Completing the “Transfers” form. It is to be signed by both the transferor and transferee and approved by the company, and the necessary supporting documents attached to it.
- Receiving all requirements of effecting a transfer (the form, supporting documents and fees), noting that an updated DFM Investor Number (NIN) of both the transferor and transferee is needed.
- Making sure that all requirements are in place and ensuring that the securities are in the clearing account, not the brokerage’s account (The trading member is to be addressed to transfer the securities from their account to the clearing account).
- Paying the transfer fees.
- Issuing a receipt for the fees.
- Entering the application into the system
- Approving the application (within 2 working days)
Required Documents
- A valid transcription of the Memorandum of Association, Commercial License and the Commercial Registry
- A transcription of the valid Passport of the authorized signatory or the agent
- A transcription of the valid ID of the authorized signatory or the agent
- Other supporting documents are requested in the case of the agent:
- A transcription of the Power of Attorney that is certified as per the regulations and is valid, together with a copy of the agent’s ID.
- For Power of Attorneys issued abroad, it is to be certified by the relevant authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries.
