Transfer of Securities between Family Members (up to 2nd Degree Kinship)

Transferring securities from an Investor account to another account is exercised in the case of a family relationship to the second degree.

Investors can submit a request via DFM App or eServices.  

0.002 (two per thousand) from the shares market value, minimum AED 25. (No. of shares*market value*rate) + (5%)VAT

To submit your request via DFM eServices:

1. Register to DFM app or eServices
2. Login with your username and password
3. Select the eFORMS tab
4. Select the form and complete it
5. Attach the required documents and click on ‘Submit’
6. Enter the Payment Details and click on ‘Confirm’
7. You will be notified by email once the status of the request is updated

Notes:

• Investor KYC and FATCA/CRS information for both the Transferor & Transferee must be updated to apply and view the service.
• Ensure that the Investor Number in DFM for both the Transferor & Transferee are updated.
• Ensure that the payment method is updated for both the Transferor & Transferee.
• Ensure that the transferred shares are available in the CSD account of the Transferor.
• Family transfer can be made by the investor through the app automatically between the father and minors whose accounts are linked to the father in the application directly.

Completed Transfer of Securities Form duly signed.

• UAE Nationals and Residents: valid copy of Emirates National ID for the Transferee and Transferor.
• Non-residents: valid copy of the passport of the Transferee and the Transferor
• True Copy of UAE Family Book or Marsoom if required.
• True copy of any other document if required for Non-UAE Nationals (e.g. Birth certificate, Marriage Certificate).
• Any document issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries or by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition to specific documentations depending on:

In case of Minor (below 18 years)

• The signature of the Guardian (the Father).
• Valid copy of the guardian’s Passport (for Residents) or Emirates National ID (for UAE Nationals and Residents)
• In case of a guardian other than the father: true copy of duly authenticated guardianship order issued by the court or Notary public.

In case of a Representative/Guardian

• UAE National and Residents: valid copy of the UAE National ID.
• Non-residents: valid passport copy
• Valid copy of a duly authenticated Power of Attorney issued from the court or Notary Public that contains a clear clause relating to ‘waiver in shares for itself or transfer of ownership pf shares to itself and to others.
