Transfer of Securities Ownership from Investor to Trading Member Account or any of its Securities Holders or Vice Versa

Details
These transfers are done if an official request is received from the Trading Member to Dubai CSD requesting the transfer of the securities from an investor’s account to that of the Trading Member or one of its security holders or vice versa.
Fees
  • 0.005 (five per thousand) of the shares market value, with minimum of AED 300 (No. of shares*market value*rate)
  • 0.0005 (five per ten thousand) of the Bonds & Sukuk, with minimum of AED 300 (No. of units*unit value/100*market value*rate)
Procedures
  1. The Trading Member should submit an official letter specifying the transfer request along with the required documents to Dubai CSD
  2. Dubai CSD will send an official letter to the Trading Member confirming the transfer of the securities and will issue a voucher with the fees required to be paid as well
Required Documents
  • An official letter from the Trading Member asking to transfer the securities from the account of an investor holding an account with them to the account of the Trading Member or one of its security holders or vice versa
  • An official letter from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) addressed to Dubai CSD approving the transfer
  • A letter from the investor to Dubai CSD approving the transfer of the securities deposited in their account with the Trading Member
  • A concession contract/agreement between the Trading Member and the investor stating that the investor gives up their rights in the company’s securities in favor of the Trading Member or one of its security holders
  • Copy of the quittance which will be handed to the investor
