Issuing Investor Number NIN (Heirs Account)

Details

An Investor Number is issued under the name of the heirs only if a representative is available to take control over the shares of the deceased

Procedures

Complete the Investor Number Request Form” and have it duly signed by the Representative of all Heirs

You can apply for an Investor Number through one of the following options:

  1. DFM eServices
    • Register to DFM eServices  
    • Login with the username and password
    • Select the eFORMS tab
    • Fill Investor Number Request Form
    • Authenticate your signature on the form, attach the required documents and submit the form
    • The investor will receive the Investor Number through SMS

  2. Through a Licensed Trading Member at Dubai Financial Market
Required Documents

Completed Investor Number Request Form signed by the Representative

  • True copy of the Death Certificate
  • True copy of a duly certified Legal Declaration and/or Inheritance Limitation
  • Valid copy of a duly authenticated Power of Attorney issued by the court on behalf of all Heirs
  • Identification documents for heirs and Representative:
    • UAE National and Residents: Valid copy of Emirates National ID.
    • Non-Residents: Valid copy of the passport.
  • Any document issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries or the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Note:
Issuing heirs NIN will be accepted only in purpose of transferring the shares from deceased account to the Heirs account and it should be submitted along with the Transfer form.
