Transfer of Securities from Dubai CSD to Trading member

Details

This service enables the transfer of shares from an investor’s account with Dubai CSD to their account with the Trading Member. The Trading Member alone is responsible for receiving transactions from their clients, ensuring they confirm to the actual securities and entering them accurately into the system.

Dubai CSD is only responsible for scrutinizing the application. If there are inaccuracies or omitted data, the Trading Member is held responsible.

Fees

Free of charge.

Procedures
To submit your request via DFM eServices:
  1. DFM eServices
    • Register to DFM app or eServices 
    • Login with your username and password
    • Select the eFORMS tab
    • Select the form and complete it
    • Attach the required documents and click on ‘Submit’
    • Enter the Payment Details and click on ‘Confirm’
    • You will be notified by email once the status of the request is updated
    Notes:
    • Investor KYC and FATCA/CRS information must be updated to apply and view the service.
    • The investor must have a trading member's account before request to transfer the shares to the trading member.
    • Ensure that the payment method is updated
    • transfer can made by the investor through the app directly.
  2. Or through Licensed Trading Member at Dubai Financial Market
Required Documents
  • For Individuals:
  • UAE Nationals and Residents: Valid copy of the Emirates National ID
  • Non-Residents: Valid copy of the passport
  • Any document issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries or by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Plus, specific documentations depending on:

In case of a Minor (below 18 years):

  • The signature of the Guardian (father)
  • Valid copy of the guardian’s Passport or the Emirates National ID

  • Gurdian
    • UAE Nationals and Residents: Valid copy of the Emirates National ID
    • Non-Residents: Valid copy of the passport
    If a Marsoom Holder
    • Valid copy of the Marsoom issued from Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship addressed to Dubai CSD or To Whom It May Concern
    If a Representative
    • Valid copy of a duly authenticated Power of Attorney issued from the court or Notary Public
    • A Power of Attorney issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries or by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
    For Representative
    • UAE Nationals and Residents: Valid copy of the Emirates National ID
    • Non-Residents: Valid copy of the passport

     

    For Companies Institutions/Governments/Banks /Funds/ Trading Members registered at DFM:

  • Valid copy of the Trade License and Commercial Register
  • True copy of the Memorandum of Association
  • True copy of a duly authenticated Authorized signatory letter issued by the company. The letter is not required in case the authorized signatory is mentioned in the Memorandum of Association
  • Valid copy of the Passport or UAE National ID of the authorized signatory
  • Valid copy of the Passport or the Emirates National ID of all partners
  • Bank Statement or Certified Bank Letter Mentioning clearly the IBAN for the investor who owns the shares
  • Any document issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE embassy in those countries or the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

     

    In addition to specific documentations depending on:

    In case of an authorized signatory on behalf of the company:

  • True copy of a duly authenticated Authorized signatory letter issued by the company

     

    In case of a Representative (for all investor types):

  • Valid copy of a duly authenticated Power of Attorney issued from the court or Notary Public
  • Valid copy of the representative’s Passport or the UAE National ID
  • A Power of Attorney issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries or by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  • For partners / authorized signatories of the company / Representative:

  • UAE Nationals and Residents: Valid copy of the Emirates National ID
  • Non-Residents: Valid copy of the passport
